Residence

La Maison de Simon is a classic Normand stone barn and garden that was converted in 2022 into an artist’s residence and village arts center.

The studios, which make up the majority of the house, were conceived for many kinds of artistic practice to allow our artists to take creative risks and work on many projects at the same time. These include the bright and spacious main studio on the top floor, an open space composed of four areas, two connected ground-floor studios that are also directly accessible from outside, and a kiln.

At the center of the residence is a professional kitchen which opens onto a cozy living room and a large antique farm table. Suited to amateur and professional chefs alike, this space is comfortable, convivial and has a beautiful view of the garden through the original half-moon window.

The residence also includes a laundry room and two bedrooms on different floors with private bathrooms, ample storage, and lovely views. Resident artists may come alone or with another artist (or artists) while still having their own space.
