Anne Delahodde
Permanent artist-in-residence • Ceramicist

Engaged in a continuous exploration of her art, ceramicist Anne Delahodde sublimates natural materials by creating pieces with simple, raw, and imperfect shapes.
Anne Delahodde discovered her vocation by coming into contact with the earth. Working mainly with chamotte clays, the ceramicist enjoys turning, deformation, modeling and sculpture. Horses have become her signature, symbolizing her artistic identity.
Anne creates a deep connection with her creations through slow, repetitive, and meticulous work, culminating in the final firing. She is passionate about Raku firing, a 16th-century Japanese technique which, unlike classic ceramic firing, causes unexpected reactions.
Thanks to her experience as a teacher at Fontaine-sous-Jouy Elementary School, Anne will lead La Maison de Simon’s Artistic Program for Children.
