Most of their artwork is created directly from life, often in 'plein air', imparting a spontaneous, free, loose style.
Laurie Fox Pessemier and her husband Blair Pessemier, American artists who have been living in Italy since 2015 after spending 20 years in Paris, create vibrant and joyous paintings in a modern realistic style. Their primary objective is to bring delight to both themselves and others through their positive imagery. Blair Pessemier’s expertise lies in portrait painting, along with other captivating ‘modern impressionist’ artworks.
They have written and published over 20 children’s books. Furthermore, since August 2020, Laurie has been actively hosting an online Sunday Art Salon, providing a platform for artistic discussions and interactions. Additionally, she shares insights into her creative journey through a weekly column titled ‘Artnotes’, featuring a collection of writings and paintings.
