Chris Knight
Guest Resident • Comic book author

Invited by David T. Olsen as a guest resident, Chris Knight collaborated with him on a large drawing inspired by their shared experiences in Normandy, blending their artistic visions into a narrative piece.
Chris Knight’s artistic journey began at age five, drawing superheroes in his father’s ledger, which ignited a lifelong passion for visual storytelling. With an MFA in painting from the University of Wisconsin—Madison, Chris explores how narratives shape our identities through rich, story-like imagery and evocative characters.
His work, recognized with the WK Rose Fellowship and a Joan Mitchell Foundation grant, combines elements of romance, adventure, and loss. Chris teaches drawing and painting at Portland Community College, continuing to explore narrative and memory.
