Brooke Taylor
2025 Artist-in-Residence • Painter

The artist shapes a world where lines intertwine and come to life, shifting between form, volume, and transformation.
Brooke Taylor’s works, composed of sinuous, interwoven lines, seem to breathe with life, like organisms in motion. They evoke animal forms, tangled roots, or shifting energies, balancing fluidity and tension. With a nearly sculptural approach to drawing, she creates compositions that feel both tactile and immersive.
For nearly a decade, she has been involved in an organization dedicated to improving access to healthcare, housing and financial benefits for people with disabilities. Drawing and painting have always provided her with an outlet to express and process her emotions. Brooke’s artistic practice is vital to her ability to forge connections with and between others; particularly those who are facing adversity.
Her commitment extends beyond artistic creation—it reflects a deep desire to build human connections and contribute to a more inclusive, equitable and compassionate world.
