Malmö-based playwright, librettist and researcher, Vanja Hamidi Isacson explores the potential of multilingualism within the performing arts, examining it from the playwright's perspective, fostering generative and innovative capacities in creative writing.

Vanja Hamidi Isacson’s work, “The potential of multilingualism in dramatic works”, exemplifies the intersection of multilingualism and contemporary theater, exploring the immense artistic, creative, political, and emotional potential that this combination can bring to the performing arts.

Visiting researcher at Uniarts Helsinki, with a doctoral degree in performative and mediated practices from Uniarts Stockholm, she also co-founded Teater JaLaDa (Malmö) in 2013, dedicated to addressing contemporary issues through drama, with a mission to create a positive global impact on topics such as linguistic and cultural diversity.

Invited as a guest resident by Linda Williams, painter captivated by the ever-changing nature and its various phases of transformation, she will continue her ongoing project during her stay at La Maison de Simon.
